ABOVE: Desert Oasis in Phoenix, Arizona, was a symmetrical composition of three distinct masses, united by a central open living area and an outdoor courtyard. We focused the
design on a series of open living spaces, visually and physically. As the home unfolds, the spaces are suitable for entertaining, yet appropriately scaled for the family.
FACING PAGE: With a nod to the homeowners' travels, we integrated subtle tropical elements in the hardscaping and landscaping. The formal, high-entry roof extends west
beyond the great room to the courtyard, creating a year-round shaded and covered outdoor living space. Beyond the courtyard is a pool with terraces, fire, and water features
greatly extending the living area to the outdoors.
