332 Roger H. Newell Architecture Seattle, WA ABOVE: This contemporary, two-story residence on Coon Bay, off the North Hood Canal, replaced a dated weekend cottage that no longer met the owner's needs. The sculptural building form is composed of offsetting arched roofs and curved exterior walls. FACING PAGE LEFT: This waterf ront residence was designed with two stories of living space to capture the views of the marina and the Olympic Mountains. A horizontal deck on the upper floor provides a visual connection between the curved elements while extending the living space to the outdoors. The street façade features a glazed atrium entry, a glazed garage door, and sweeping upper balcony that provides views to Hood Canal to the west. FACING PAGE TOP RIGHT: The large, open kitchen mirrors the radius of the building's form and provides vistas of the boat moorage. FACING PAGE BOTTOM RIGHT: A radius ceiling and large windows give the primary bathroom a light, airy feeling. The cantilevered, lighted vanity cabinet provides reflected light to the floor.
