ABOVE & FACING PAGE: Curved and organic, this home was built into the site so that it's a part of the hill and not just sitting atop it. Though the home faces west and
receives very strong late-afternoon sun, its superior ventilation keeps the interior temperature pleasant. The home's east side also ties back to the site, as it's where snow
and rainfall is collected and fed to a cistern for year-round irrigation. The garage is tucked in under the house and almost disappears, allowing the building to stand
dynamically on its own.
