357 ABOVE & FACING PAGE: I designed my first Santa Fe home in the mid-1980s, and feel that people are only now realizing that modern architecture works very well in the Southwest setting—breaking out of the "brown box" mold. We call this home the Equilateral House because it features forced interlocking triangles that rely on the power of the line and strength of its walls. The home is built up on a plinth to gain access to views of the valley and look out over the top of Santa Fe.
