ABOVE & FACING PAGE TOP RIGHT: Located in the scenic foothills north of Scottsdale, Casa Puente was designed around a sloping site running along a seasonal arroyo.
The home is broken into three main volumes, each connected by a glass-bridge element. Each volume focuses on the natural desert and powerful mountain views beyond,
while also breaking down the home into guest, public, and private spaces.
FACING PAGE TOP LEFT, BOTTOM LEFT & BOTTOM RIGHT: The ceiling level of the glass bridges are expressed through the main areas of the home by a compressed,
floating-wood ceiling that organizes the circulation paths of the house. Cherry millwork and furniture are complemented by the raw-steel fireplace and three-dimensional
lava-rock bed wall. The main patio area is also shared by the master suite beyond and has 270-degree views of the Sonoran Desert.
