ABOVE & FACING PAGE: We used floor-to-ceiling glass walls across most of Puesta del Sol's waterf ront elevation to add light, breeze, and life to the home. The exterior
architecture combines white stark stucco, silver metals, and warm tropical wood; the contrast sharply separates the light interior spaces f rom the bright beach setting. At
just under 4,000 square feet, the entire home was designed around two inspirational pictures: one for the street f rontage, and the second of the kitchen island. The floor-
to-ceiling bi-parting sliding doors that face the Gulf of Mexico pocket for entertaining as the interior space spills outside to a generous covered deck. The interior elements
also speak to its setting: Turquoise-glazed backslash tile closely resembles the water's color while the wood-toned floors mimic the windswept sand dunes outside. The
ground floor is completely flood-prone and only used for storage and garage space.
