ABOVE: Intended as a large vacation home, Betonhaus features five guest bedrooms that line the exterior, each opening onto a continuous veranda and view. Drawing inspiration
f rom midcentury design, the house shows off elements and philosophies such as floor-to-ceiling glass walls, patterns of three, opacity of walls to allow passive ventilation, and a
connection to the outdoors. From the rear view, the lap pool slides under the overhanging decks and spills out to an infinity edge overlooking the waterway.
FACING PAGE: Harbor House is nestled in a secluded cove on Sarasota Bay and dominates its surroundings at 5,340 luxurious square feet. It is eye-catching upon approach for its
rigid form and precariously cantilevered third-floor room. We chose a bold look for this home, conducted with repetitive linear windows that accent the vertical core of the residence.
The home sits above water feature pools on the f ront and rear, creating additional height in its reflection.
