45 ABOVE: Family get-togethers can be held in the yard's cozy and comfy seating area. To create the space, we created masonry built-ins to surround the fire pit. The tranquil atmosphere was also made possible by the installation of a water feature as a noise barrier. FACING PAGE TOP LEFT: Adding decorative elements to an outdoor area, such as lanterns, colorful pillows, and poery, is one of the simplest ways to improve the overall appearance and atmosphere of the area. FACING PAGE TOP RIGHT: Using scenic doors is a great way to connect the inside with the outside, whether you're integrating a patio or wood deck with the indoor areas for entertaining or simply capturing a view of the natural world. FACING PAGE BOTTOM: To define the areas in the backyard, we used large, artificial areas framed with concrete borders alongside segmented concrete with artificial turf joints.
