76 Inspired Outdoor Living ABOVE: The geometric design of the water-and-fire feature aligns with the architectural character of the home. We designed this feature to be dynamic from multiple vantage points, while a rain chain directs water from the second level of the home to the lower-level basin. Photography by Travis Bechtel Photography FACING PAGE TOP: This waterside property is situated in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. The fire pit is a unique feature that intersects with two existing columns from the prairie-style home's roofline. The columns integrate into the pool deck to create an outdoor room and repeat the chevron angles evidenced in the roof canopy. Photography by Jimi Smith Photography FACING PAGE BOT TOM LEFT: This rain chain with Mexican beach cobbles is a subtle detail that replaces a traditional downspout and integrates nicely with the basalt pool deck. Photography by Travis Bechtel Photography FACING PAGE BOT TOM RIGHT: For this design, we were directed by the client's strong preference toward ultra-clean, contemporary spaces. Here, the modern pergola structure extends over a sleekly elongated fire feature to visually anchor the entry reef into an unpictured rectilinear pool.
