ABOVE: The fusion of architecture and water happens in this home's backyard retreat. A shallow sun shelf, bedecked with fiber-optic starlight,
greets you as you emerge from the primary suite and open-air living room. It leads to a spa, clad in pewter glass, that shimmers silver in the
sunlight.
FACING PAGE TOP: This expanded patio exemplifies outdoor living at its best. A Rumford fireplace forms the structural column at one end while
a cantilevered 40-foot beam completes the open experience, allowing a clear line of sight to the mirrored surface of the overflow pool that reflects
the garden and mountain beyond.
FACING PAGE BOT TOM: A visually striking steel-and-wood pergola runs the length of this home, defining its outdoor living space while providing
much-needed shade. Repeating the theme, the pool is an elongated mirror that's seamlessly flush to the rectangular panel of lawn. A zero-edge
detail allows the water to overflow into a hidden slot, bringing the water and grass together.
