Inspired Outdoor Living
ABOVE: The homeowners brought back a vision for this contemporary, arbor-like structure after seeing something similar at a resort. So we
made it happen! We completely renovated the pool and spa. Then, I designed and engineered the massive steel structure—it was a feat—but the
finished product is so striking and unique. It's truly a custom sculpture in their backyard—and their kids love swinging on the rope.
FACING PAGE TOP LEFT: This koi pond, with a quietly soothing waterfall, is the epitome of tranquility in this backyard. I love to use organic
shapes, like undulating curves, to enhance the natural essence of outdoor spaces.
FACING PAGE TOP RIGHT: Another example of curvature in our work, this pool winds around the trees in delightful form. The circular fire pit
and seating wall in the foreground and the spa in the background echo the organic shapes in this treehouse-like seing.
FACING PAGE BOT TOM: Having a zero-foot beach entry with bubblers in this free-form pool was important for these homeowners with young
children. There's also a tanning ledge—and a hot tub—for the adults to enjoy.
