ABOVE: We envisioned a statement-making pool with a view, with this vanishing-edge design that is the perfect place to catch the gorgeous
sunsets.
FACING PAGE: This area in Kalamazoo is known for its beautiful bodies of water—and this sweeping, 32-acre plot on Crooked Lake was no
exception. We worked with the builder, Cnossen Construction, to bring this entire property to life. We were incredibly intentional about the
design of the outdoor living areas, starting with the first-level pool and the strategic seating and dining areas that surround it. Expansive decks
off the second level continue the seamless melding of the interior and exterior. This warm, welcoming lakefront retreat was designed to draw
friends in and bring family back home. It's the ultimate space for gathering, entertaining, and celebrating—and that includes this outdoor living
area that features a rustic two-sided fireplace as the focal point. Just like the interior of the home, this space resonates with an inviting, open, and
relaxed ambience that maximizes the surrounding views.
