PREVIOUS PAGE: Charcoal stucco creates a frame for the stainless steel sculpture, Kismet, by artists Jennifer Gilbert Asher and Mario Lopez. Color-changing LED lights in a recessed channel allow the
homeowner to change the mood of the sculpture at the touch of a buon.
ABOVE: To allow enjoyment of the fire pit from both dry seating and within the spa, this nine-foot-long fire feature is placed between the two. An LED-lit rainfall water feature adds the tranquil sound of
falling water to the atmosphere.
FACING PAGE TOP: A custom-designed and fabricated floating steel fire feature gently rises from the ground and cantilevers over the water, intersecting the spa experience with fire. The curved design of
the steel softens its presence in this narrow courtyard space.
FACING PAGE BOT TOM LEFT: Custom-fabricated, laser-cut steel panels create a sculptural background and help hide the wood fence. The same panels were used in the shade structure above the pool
loungers, allowing filtered sun for sunbathers.
FACING PAGE BOT TOM RIGHT: The water creates a cozy embrace around this sunken fire pit. The stacked stone privacy wall includes custom stainless steel water features by RAD Scuppers, flanking each
side. The viewing window allows the landscape to add a living sculptural element.
