ABOVE: The synthetic turf puing green is encased on three sides by lush annuals, perennials, and evergreens, while the pool area takes on a more formal feel. Boxwood hedges
and patio hollies frame the back side of the pool.

FACING PAGE TOP: This long, narrow pool, with low-slung feature walls, encourages the viewer's eye to the stately 100-year-old oaks in the background. To not compete with the
oaks, the plant palee and arrangement in the yard was kept simple and elegant.

FACING PAGE BOT TOM: This pool and garden renovation is centered around an existing hackberry tree, whose branches twist and turn through the spaceāat one point even
almost touching the ground, creating a natural bench. The landscaping was kept very simple around the hackberry, allowing the sculptural branching to shine, while the
surrounding landscape creates a lush backdrop for the pool.
