ABOVE: Designed for relaxed living and entertaining, this home and garden
provide both intimate and grand spaces with a variety of outdoor living
experiences. Here, a water feature sits at the edge of a lawn terrace, creating a
beautiful backdrop from the home.
BOT TOM LEFT: Evergreen clematis cascades over the garden wall and water
fountain, like a waterfall washing off the shell.
BOT TOM RIGHT: Bricks that were harvested from the original home were
recycled as pavers, inlays, and curbing, adding to the history of the new-build
Arts & Crafts Revival home and garden. It gives a lovely historic quality to a more
contemporary landscape.

FACING PAGE TOP: Through the garden gate, a lush green and white garden
awaits. A long axial steppingstone path—layered with limewashed terra coa
planters, columnar hornbeams, and architectural planters filled with rounded
boxwoods—leads you into the retreat that was designed for recreation,
relaxation, respite, entertaining, and pleasure.
FACING PAGE BOT TOM: Layers of boxwoods, giant alliums, and a clipped
boxwood hedge is a pleasing welcome to the home. An urn sits on the step
column and is filled with boxwood topiary, rosemary, and pink violas, adding
to this pleasing composition.
