LEFT: This vista leads toward a focal point framed by a straight
hedge. A warm palee of clustered blooms is cradled by box
hedges trimmed into spheres to guide the eye to the large
tree and balance the wild forms of the flowers.
FACING PAGE: A mixture of ornamental grasses foregrounds
a composition of freeform evergreens with a Blue Atlas cedar
tree placed at the center. Compositions of only greens can
have as powerful an effect as the colors of flowers when
planned carefully.
