ABOVE: This is an entertainer's dream property — and the homeowner frequently sets up a stage in between the pool and back tree line for music
performances. Capturing seasonal beauty, the landscape lighting highlights Virginia's famous, colorful foliage. Soft lighting in the secluded area
to the right includes a prayer garden and fire pit.
FACING PAGE TOP: Siing at the fire pit in this secluded area, one is surrounded by a small creek. Going outside of the traditional landscape
lighting design techniques for downlighting, 4000K color temperature LEDs were installed in trees at 70 feet with a soft, blue-gray theatrical glass
lens, mimicking a full moon.
FACING PAGE BOT TOM: Shadows are as important as light to true designers. This small sculpture almost goes unnoticed in the landscape, but
the shadow thrown onto the tree creates a center point of interest. What's more, the shadowing of light that shines through the branches and
onto the ground breaks up the light paern to create more drama.
