FACING PAGE LEFT: The unusual angles of the home were emphasized by
creating a knife-edge point on the infinity edge of this modern pool. The
deep tone of the plaster allows the water to reflect the home or the tree
canopy, depending on your vantage point.
FACING PAGE TOP RIGHT: Floating Lueders limestone stepper pads lead
the eye across the water, to the Whale's Tongue agave in a modern low-
bowl planter. A raised wall was added behind the spa coping to create a
seat back, for swimmers to sit and dangle their toes in the spa. A custom-
fabricated RAD Scupper seems to grow out of the black steel planter
FACING PAGE BOT TOM RIGHT: This ledgestone feature wall gives privacy
to a "secret garden," which is home to the spa and an adjacent fire pit area.
The window to the pool has a rain curtain water feature, adding another
touch of drama and mystery to the space beyond.

ABOVE: A ledgestone-clad privacy wall separates the auto court from
the pool area. The see-thru fireplace serves both the spa and the
auto court when it doubles as entertainment space. The infinity-edge spa
allows water to pour over three walls, to a lower trough which connects
to the pool.
LEFT An acrylic-walled spa rises from the synthetic turf lawn,
creating a modern cubic sculpture. Water flows into a hidden
channel between the turf and the acrylic, lending a bit of magic to
the space.
