Inspired Outdoor Living
ABOVE: This vanishing-edge pool on a hillside in Corinth, Texas, maximizes the beautiful lake and sunset views. The upper pool is made for
relaxation while the larger pool below is kid-friendly with a diving board and a slide that wraps around it. The fire bowls are lovely, but they also
pull double duty in keeping the family's kids from walking along the ledges.
FACING PAGE TOP: Our inspiration for this Mediterranean-style design came directly from this Fort Worth home's architecture. The three
arches mimic the three arches in the family room, which is located directly across from the pool. This wall will later serve as a buffer and screen
when the rural property in the background is developed. Illuminated rain curtains fall from the top of each arch to not only create an impactful
visual effect, but also offer white noise to minimize other city sounds. Benches under the arches are a favorite place to sit. The circular fire
feature is directly centered with the also-circular perimeter overflow spa to continue the aesthetic repetition of this design.
FACING PAGE BOT TOM LEFT AND RIGHT: This Flower Mound, Texas, property is located on an extreme hillside, which we used to our advantage
for this design that was inspired by the French countryside. We constructed a stream to cascade 25 feet into a lower pond. The vanishing-edge
pool overlooks lush greenery beyond. The large boulders serve as a retaining wall, to keep the water in place. The bridge and covered portico
structure reflect the architecture of the home; we shipped in the 10-feet-tall wooden water wheel from Tennessee. Directly across from the
wheel are bronze statues of the owner's three grandchildren.
