12 ABOVE : Too often architecture is defined by what blows away in a strong wind. The P+P Home strips away the unnecessary and gets to the bony structure to find the inherent beauty of the home. The covered patio has no columns to obstruct the views. Concrete floors continue through the glass to the covered patio. In the master bathroom, sinks sit atop red Chroma by 3Form, reflected in double mirrors. Photographs by Scott Sandler FACING PAGE: The exterior language of the Horner home is raw – raw exposed steel, raw metal, and raw concrete, all set within the raw desert. The site is a high ridge outside of Wickenburg, Arizona with extraordinary north and south views that can extend over fifty miles on a clear day. Steel allows for deep cantilevered overhangs, protecting outdoor living spaces. A three-sided negative edge pool anchors the north patio. Contractor: Dan Reardon Photography by Matthew Wagner "Eric is a terrific talent who is not only knowledgeable, but well connected. He is easy to work with, communicative and has a sense of humor too." Scan this QR code for a video tour of this home.
