"When you're comfortable, you can take in nature."
People build homes in incredible landscapes because they crave interaction with nature. The best way to integrate
the indoors with the outdoors—especially in climates that can be hot or humid during large parts of the year—is
to blur the edges between the two. The better an architect blurs the edge, the better people feel and the better
energy flows. Nature is so vast and so powerful that it's easy to feel small in the shadow of a mountain or when
viewing the unending waves of the ocean. If a building—especially a home—has enough detail and texture though,
then it's easier for people to view and be a part of nature. A beautifully detailed place with objects and furniture
that make one feel hugged, safe, and secure allows one to see the majestic elements of nature without feeling
overwhelmed by them.
