LAFAYETTE RETREAT
Lafayette, CA
Our approach to design with this project was to create a sense of longevity
by incorporating natural materials, antiques, and exquisite lighting for a
personal touch. You can see all of those elements woven throughout the
rooms, along with organic, calming tones and warm, welcoming materials.
It gives the spaces an elegant but comfortable aesthetic. I try not to be
swayed by trends but by using materials that reflect their home environ-
ment, and the use of the homeowners' original contemporary art and an-
tiques is at the heart of each project.
The results of this approach are always unique and authentic, which my
client so appreciates, and it offers a sense of timelessness to the design. I
want to create an aesthetic that never gets old, never goes out of style. We
worked closely and collaboratively with the homeowners to understand
their needs and desires so that we could deliver a solution that excels in
both form and function. I like to empower my client to think mindfully
about their home, often in a whole new perspective, and understand it as
a foundation for happy and successful lives.
