4 INSPIRED KITCKENS & BATHS
Sometimes — even when a home is relatively new — the layout just doesn't work, and a transformation is needed to create an inviting gathering spot
for the entire family. The original kitchen was plain cherry and black, and although large, it lacked an island, which often left the homeowner alone while
cooking. We reoriented the space around a 12-foot island, equipped with both gas and electric cooktops and a wine chiller, and updated the aesthetic
with oversized windows along with walnut and moody-blue lacquer cabinetry. Two contemporary light fixtures span the length of the island, creating
dramatic impact from the moment you walk in. The new kitchen prioritizes storage, style, and connection — to one another and the outdoors. The whole
family can now gather in their new kitchen and take advantage of the additional storage, workspace, and seating to create cherished family memories.
