We transformed the second-floor bathroom of a historic home – one of the first homes built in Westminster, CO in the 1890s – into a spacious and luxurious sanctuary. To
achieve this major expansion, we needed more space than the former bathroom had available. So, we converted one of the four second-floor bedrooms into extra square
footage for the bathroom. The goal with our design aesthetic was to honor the origins of the home — and, to that end, one of the showstoppers of this space is the large-scale
floral wallpaper with matching window valances. The traditional, free-standing slipper tub is oriented to look out of the former bedroom window, providing a beautiful view of the
Boulder Flatirons. Instead of a standard linen closet, we designed the room with an armoire for a more traditional farmhouse feel. To add a splash of color and fun, we matched
the custom vanity cabinets to the blue-green color of the wallpaper and pulled in the red accent from the flowers for the mirrors.
