2 INSPIRED KITCHENS & BATHS
A variation on traditional design, this kitchen is elegant and layered, but feels like home. Silver-leafed, hand-painted terra-cotta tiles and custom leaded glass windows transform
the range area into a focal wall. A pewter hood anchors the 48-inch gas range. The perimeter countertops are quartzite, and the island is topped with a taupe marble called Silver
Roots. Traditional artisan details lend character — hand-carved pilasters at the island and on either side of the range, cabinet hardware with tiny, embedded crystals, the custom
cabinetry with a subtle taupe glaze on the ivory painted doors and the furniture-style toe kicks. Subtly distressed wood beams balance the more formal aesthetic of the crystal
chandeliers. This kitchen sink view offers a quiet moment, with the windowsill at counter level for a seamless visual connection to the backyard golf course views. Two operable
side panes allow access to the outdoor kitchen and barbecue area. The backsplash of the outdoor kitchen, glimpsed through the window, is clad in a three-dimensional glass
tile with an opalescent finish.
