For this waterfront home on the south shore of Long Island, New York, we transformed an almost non-functional kitchen into a
space where cooking, entertaining, and gathering are all feasible — and also absolutely beautiful! This light-filled space is truly
a delight. I used a glossy white subway tile backsplash and crisp white countertops to complement the fresh brightness of the
space. The introduction of the eye-catching, navy-blue cabinetry creates a statement-making contrast to the white. Stainless-
steel appliances are gorgeous with this palette. The rattan light fixtures and bar stools bring a casual flair to the space, amplifying
its beachy mood — especially with the views out to the water.
