While some may think that using the same material for multiple surfaces is a recipe for an unimaginative home, when done with precision, it can lead to incredible design.
Take this kitchen, where a spectacular slab of Cielo quartzite delivered immediate inspiration as the countertop and backsplash. The leathered stone grounds the space while
complementary finishes and clean-lined forms add to the minimal yet dynamic aesthetic. Walnut cabinetry with integrated pulls allows for optimum function and simplicity
while a custom metal hood cover is an unexpected accent. The cabinetry was also customized to seamlessly fit new Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances, which were of
utmost importance to enhance the clients' daily cooking experience. Cabinetry lighting was a strategic addition, amplifying the natural movement in the stone and delivering
a greater sense of modernity to the high-end elegance and everyday practicality of this desert-rooted space. This contemporary kitchen won the Designerati International
Design Award in November 2023.
