This kitchen and dining room is part of an expansive remodel to a traditional Colonial Revival two-story property, creating a bigger, more functional, and more beautiful home.
All existing rooms were updated with a contemporary aesthetic in mind, mixed with modern farmhouse accents. To satisfy the homeowners' desire to not have to sit at a typical
shaped island to eat, I designed a unique, blue, L-shaped island and banquette that opens to the family room — and a matching blue entertainment center! A set of accordion
doors also leads to an outdoor kitchen. Porcelain parquet wood flooring is incredible in this space, putting a sleek twist on a more traditional wood look. A complementary mosaic
marble backsplash adds visual interest against the white quartz countertops. Features like a full-height wine refrigerator, 54-inch refrigerator-freezer, built-in coffee machine,
microwave drawer, 48-inch range, and dishwasher with a farm sink — not to mention the walk-in pantry — really make this kitchen as functional as it is beautiful. We connected the
kitchen to its neighboring dining room, where gorgeous "chinoiserie chic" custom-printed magnolia branches on blue grasscloth wallpaper continues the color theme.

"We don't design for only one type of style. We design spaces to look
like our clients and what they love, so every single project
is beautifully varied."
