This kitchen was part of a whole home remodel, including a two-story addition. The homeowners
asked us to make the space more functional and spacious, with a light and airy feel. We accomplished
that with a palette that focused on shades of grey, white, and cream while adding some warm
glamour via gold, wood, and black accents. Layered lighting also plays a role with gorgeous lantern-
inspired pendants suspended over the long island as well as additional sconces, recessed lighting,
and LED strip lighting under the wall cabinets. We were also very intentional about the zones
in this kitchen. In addition to the island that's made for entertaining, with its built-in wine refrigerator
and liquor cabinet, there's a main prep and cooking zone, a clean-up area with additional
dishwasher, a built-in banquette as a separate eating area, and a hidden pantry for additional
storage and prep space.
