Houses tell stories, and whenever we work on a remodel, our goal is to keep the story alive in a beautifully
updated way. We love to honor the integrity of a home and all its character and charm. For this kitchen
renovation, which was profiled in Elle Décor, we kept the stained trim and beams that were original to the
kitchen along with its lovely Tudor window. What we didn't keep were the mustard-yellow walls! We also
removed a bank of cabinets on the left side of the space, giving us more room for a kitchen island that acts as
both prep surface and dining area. New cabinets, appliances, lighting, and artisan tile were selected to blend
with the original elements of the home. As with many renovations, the original trim was no longer available
and had to be made by Lenny, who is quite good at replicating pieces that cannot be sourced.
