For a busy family who loves to entertain, we had the fun opportunity to transform the first floor of a Northbrook, Illinois, house built in
2001 into the ultimate in "modern bohemian farmhouse" living. GOGO and Kitchen Design Partners worked our magic, together with
Macnon Builders, to transform the dated, early 2000s-style finishes into an eclectic celebration of old and new, all while prioritizing
the clients' practical needs and bringing innovative design-build expertise to the project every step of the way. To open the space,
we demolished existing walls, columns, and arches, and enlarged the opening between the kitchen and breakfast room for improved
access to the new fully equipped beverage center. We also installed salvaged beams and shiplap on the ceilings to bring in that
farmhouse flavor juxtaposed with unique lighting and a mix of cabinetry styles for a unique, modern-boho vibe.
