It's not hard to see why this kitchen was crowned Kitchen of the Year in Decorating Den Interiors' International
Dream Room Competition, 2023. One of the boldest features in the spirited space is the playful backsplash,
designed by Bohnne, which puts handcrafted tiles to use in a mosaic of burgundy, pink, purple, dark blue, and white
hues. The painted cabinets are a perfect match, too, with the cool contrast between the white with light-grey glaze
and the deep-dark periwinkle. Reconfiguring the cabinet scheme also afforded the client the large waterfall island
and the added storage she wanted. Four pink counter stools along with oversized pendants add even more flair to
the island, while mini-recessed LED fixtures and under- and over-cabinet lighting give the room unlimited lighting
options for cooking and entertaining.
