An avid cook, our client's dream kitchen was our command. To start, we opened all the walls between
the kitchen, dining room, and a compact nook behind the kitchen used as a small office. Creating this
newly open space allowed for more natural light to flood the kitchen while improving functionality.
Appliance selections were crucial to achieve our client's kitchen goals, as was planning a layout
that ensured optimal flow. Thoughtful details abound, with every cabinet organized for ideal storage
along with features like pull-out pantries, vertical dividers, rollouts, and a pot filler that's not only
near the cooktop but also accessible to the coffee machine. The advanced lighting layout includes
optimally located recessed lighting, undercabinet lighting flush-mounted into panels, interior cabinet
lighting, and a custom pendant design over the large-scale, quartz-topped island and dining table.
Not only did we nail the function of this space, but its form is also fantastic. The finishes were
purposely selected to be dramatic, with the contrast of black-stained white rift oak for the base
cabinets and natural birch for the wall cabinets. The combination of metal frame glass doors, black
panel doors for the appliances, and black and knurled gold hardware all add sleek sophistication.
