339 These two girls' bathrooms were designed for young twin sisters to share in addition to being used by guests. To meet functional needs, we utilized handheld showers mounted on slide bars in both showers to accommodate anyone's varying heights and accessibility. We also included both a tub and a separate shower stall and designed three different vanities at varied heights. Aesthetically, my concept was to create a colorful and whimsical feel by creating custom glass mosaic tile in the showers. In one bathroom, we custom-designed a pattern of hand-cut white swallows and butterflies in flight out of milky-white stained glass with a gradient sky-blue background. Flower power is assured in the other bathroom, where we custom-designed each of the colorful blooms in various shapes out of stained-glass sheets. It has so much delightful spirit! Another tiny yet important detail are the glass knobs on the vanities that complement the mosaics and tie everything together.
