256 THIS PAGE: This minimalist yet luxurious primary bathroom in a San Diego penthouse enjoys stunning views from every vantage point, thanks to glass walls in the shower and water closet. The freestanding tub has a front-row seat to the bay and skyline below — and it gets filled from above for added drama. The walnut vanity provides substantial hidden storage. With no shortage of accent lighting, including the shower niche and tub base, there's always a romantic glow after sunset. FACING PAGE: For a homeowner who travels often for business, we designed this bathroom to serve as her wellness sanctuary while providing all the functionality to ease daily stress. Sand-colored, textured porcelain tile, natural white oak cabinets, and live plants give the space a calm, organic, and elegant feel. The open floorplan offers a wonderful space for morning yoga while a steam shower is the ultimate restorative indulgence. The custom vanity cabinets feature a center tower on the angled wall to ensure abundant storage. We replaced an existing window with one that has obscured glass for privacy, yet allows the natural light to stream in.
