2 INSPIRED KITCKENS & BATHS
Luxurious materials were used throughout this open-concept kitchen in a San Diego penthouse, where we removed walls to show
off the sky-high views. We added a gorgeous, wood slat ceiling detail to delineate the space while adding warmth and texture. The
luminous island countertop is a stunning Fantasy Macaubas quartzite, selected for its dramatic movement with subtle shades of blue
and green. The walnut and black-stained oak wood acts as a beautiful contrast to the abundance of natural light. To further streamline
the space, the refrigerator is disguised with wood veneer panels — as is the pantry that's located right beside it. The bar backsplash
has a bronze-colored mirror to reflect the views. Indeed, despite all the incredible design features in this kitchen, we ensured nothing
would distract from the breathtaking views. Restraint is often the hardest rule to follow when you have so much to work with.
