The Ridge at Copper Point is as unique as it is scenic. Though
playing to just over 5,000 yards, it is not a short golf course. The
Ridge has 10 full-length par 3s ranging from 147 to 241 yards,
eight par 4s ranging from 324 to 463 yards, and no par 5s.
Players enjoy a complete golf experience on a course manicured
to championship conditions and can complete play in three
hours. The 14th hole on The Ridge is a beautiful example.
From the elevated tee boxes, the Canadian Rockies are on the
right and the spectacular Columbia River Valley is located to the
west. From the back tee box, a drive of 240 yards is ideal to a
landing area that narrows 150 yards from the green. Trees line
the left side of the hole and a large pond that stretches along the
right almost to the green directs you to the target.
The wide but narrow green—60 feet by 30 feet—is slightly
elevated and protected by three big, white silica sand bunkers
on the right side. The tiered putting surface, with a back shelf,
sits beside a stand of Douglas firs in an idyllic Columbia
Valley setting.
