Golf Club's exciting par 3 truly represents the stunning topography and incredible
vistas throughout the course.
Club selection is critical to carry the steep ravine that separates tee and green. It is
truly one of those "time-stands-still" holes as your ball sails from the clubface, stalls
in mid-flight, and then heads back down toward the green. Your group will be silent
as the ball zeros in on the pin, listening for that sweet thud as your ball hits its target.
The green is inviting with a small back bowl, but there is trouble waiting in the aspen
grove behind if you hit too long. A small bail-out area sits to the left, but if you are
short, any attempt at par will require a high, crisp chip shot to recover.
Known for its reputation as one of Calgary's finer courses, Springbank has recently
engaged the Ames Golf Group, directed by Stephen Ames, to further enhance an
already exciting golf experience on this picturesque layout.
Hole 5 will definitely be part of your post-round recap as you share memories over
a cool beverage or a fine merlot at one of the most beautiful and relaxing clubhouses
in the province.
