The 18th hole at Bear Mountain Ranch Golf Course will leave you with a memorable and lasting
image of beauty and elegance. The par 5 measures 482 yards from the forward tees to a little
over 690 yards from the back tees. Almost a quarter-mile of beautifully maintained turf finishes
off the visually stunning day where the pristine, 55-mile long Lake Chelan and the Cascade
Mountains are seen on every hole.
This memorable 18th ends with an approach shot through a 40-yard-wide gap in the trees and
over a stream to a gently rolling green. It is a demanding but fair hole, but some may have to
lay up on their third shot short of the stream and hope for an accurate fourth shot to attain par.
Birdies are possible, but every shot must be hit accurately and not lack for distance.
Designed and built by Don Barth, the course is known beyond its vistas for its excellent GPS
system, overall turf conditions, and multiple tees, stretching from 5,063 yards to a whopping
7,213 yards.
Bear Mountain Ranch adds to the growing collection of golf courses in the sunlit area of Lake
Chelan, including Alta Lake, Desert Canyon, and Rock Island.
