We created an entirely new home within the existing walls of this
1960s waterfront project. Working closely with the homeowners,
we completed an extensive makeover to design an all-new interior
and an exterior with modernized street and waterfront elevations
for a revamped façade. The newly transformed house shows off a
modern, open environment while capturing the picturesque features
of its coastal location. Because the owners were happy with the basic
structure of the house, we kept its best elements and expanded from
there. In the end, we only added 200 square feet to the footprint. All
the interior spaces were redesigned to provide a seamless, open great
room that leads to the new waterfront deck. Electrical, mechanical,
and plumbing was completely replaced, along with a new elevator and
dramatic stairs to the second level. All, new interior walls and a new
standing-seam metal roof were added. The second floor includes three
new bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. The primary suite features
his-and-her closets and separate bathrooms. A full gym completes the
second floor, with an open balcony shared by the master suite that
features sightlines to the isle waterway. A new entry structure was
also added to provide a private, secure, and open outdoor foyer to the
main entry.
Because we specialize in designs that meet the clients' needs and wants
down to the smallest detail, we are in the business of creating dream
homes. I have no set style in mind and work to bring the homeowners'
choices and desires to life.
