Inspired by abstract design, the Riviera Escape achieves the more intense,
modern West Coast aesthetic that we wanted. We chose multi-pitched
sloping roofs, contrasting white stucco with dark siding, natural stone
veneer, and tall solid timber columns with braces. Inside, the ceilings
soar thanks to the framing of the multi-pitched roof and the result is a
dramatic, airy interior. There are steel stairs and an open media loft that
looks down into the entryway and living room. At more than 3,500 square
feet, the design includes a luxurious primary suite and two upstairs
bedrooms. Throughout the home, you'll notice touches of Scandinavian
design elements combined with natural finishes and materials like wood
and metal, giving a nature-inspired feel to the rooms.
Obviously, with a natural surrounding as beautiful as this, we wanted to
include as much of the outside environment into the home as possible.
We made the floorplan angular, with sharp extending lines that make
sense for the home's lot. The builder, Designated Developments, executed
this design perfectly. The angles help open up the exterior views and
invite outdoor living. It's impossible to stand in the house and not notice
the stunning, lush natural landscape. For added curb appeal, an L-shaped,
three-car garage creates a welcoming courtyard as you approach the
home and reduces the emphasis on the garage doors that face the street.
