Inspired West Coast Homes
With sweeping southern views of the valley, this luxury custom
home sits on more than 11 acres at an impressive 12,000 square
feet. We wanted to maximize the stunning surroundings and
used the idea of incorporating the views as the main component
when designing. There are two levels in this layout, plus a small
daylight basement. On the main level you'll find communal
spaces such as the great room, kitchen, dining room, office, kids'
study, kids' play-room, an over-sized laundry and craft room, plus
an expansive four-car garage with space to spare.
The upper-level houses all four of the bedroom suites, with the
master suite attached to a large deck that covers the main-
level outdoor dining area. Over the large garage is a spacious
teenager recreation area and useful home storage. The daylight
basement has a guest suite and spa area, a movie theater room
with a pool table, plus a wine and whisky bar with a cozy sitting
area. A covered area is just outside and doubles as the main-level
covered-outdoor living space above. At the heart of the home's
floor plan, Nordby Design used two axes: one from the entry
through the great room and covered patio to the green views
of the valley, and the second is perpendicular to the primary axis
that is the pathway to other areas of the home. The backyard
boasts a tranquil in-ground swimming pool and surrounding
outdoor entertaining areas for plenty of year-round outdoor fun.
