3 Oregon Homes Creating luxury homes in the Pacific Northwest gives us the advantage of having some of the country's most beautiful landscapes to use as backdrops. Natural beauty isn't something we, or any architect and or designer can replicate, so we aim to simply incorporate it into our designs whenever possible. Bodies of blue-grey water, green rolling hills, massive evergreen trees, picturesque mountains—the Pacific Northwest, and in particular Oregon, has it all. Through large windows and far-reaching sightlines abound in our projects it's impossible to forget the land's beauty. Because of this, it makes sense to choose colors and materials that accentuate the environment and don't compete with it. You'll see plenty of organic elements such as wood, glass, and metal throughout our designs, and warm, calming colors that underscore the land and its features. Outdoor living spaces make sense with such picture-perfect surroundings, so many of our homes feature large porches, patios, and pools to maximize the use of the home's exterior and create a natural flow with indoor-outdoor living. Overhangs and covered areas often appear in our work too, allowing for gatherings and get-togethers during showers and storms. Of course, Oregon's environmental elements can also present designing and building challenges, which we're both experienced at and equipped to handle. Every successful project navigates through several complex phases, and environmental factors often play a big role in these. At Nordby Design, we take great pride in our ability to guide clients through the entire project, f rom concept through completion, with our knowledge and professionalism to deliver gorgeous, functional spaces that our clients love.
