Inspired Modern Living
ABOVE: The studio of this home is a simple cube that is split and twisted slightly with a window filling the gap. A
rainwater spout caps the glass portion, removing water from the roof.
FACING PAGE: The rammed earth studio is at the left of the front façade. At the right is a prominent limestone
wall that acts a bookend for the extruded gable shape that runs the length of the house. The main entry is
located between these two elements. The variegated textured blocks are offset with a cut limestone chimney
that is the same stone, but simply cut with a blade that creates a grooved finish. The main gable of the house is
punctuated with three tapered portals that are plugged with thick, colored glass bricks. A higher window breaks
up the stone mass.
