Inspired Modern Living
ABOVE: The back of the house shows the end of the extruded gable form, as it opens to a covered patio that's connected to the main bedroom. Textured metal
tiles fill the inset portion while the raised yard area provides a separate outdoor space that extends the linear axis of the home to the exterior.
FACING PAGE: The covered patio's exposed structural frame supports the roof extension and recalls the primary gable shape of the stone front. The back
entrance to the house is a covered inset area with multi-colored metal siding and high windows to offer privacy but light into the entry hall. The glass cube
breakfast room has disappearing edges that allow the space to visually extend into the yard and make dining an experience much like a picnic in the park.
The formal dining room is beyond, creating a formal, gallery space within the small courtyard.
