We believe that when you walk into a house, you should be able to see the
greatest view immediately. So, to that end, the entryway opens directly into the
spacious, 15-foot-high great room, where expansive glass doors invite in natural
light and create a sense of openness while blurring the edges between indoors
and the generous outdoor living areas. Indeed, the emphasis on a continuous
visual connection to the outdoors led us to opt for lots of glass throughout this
residence with no enclosed hallways.
A canopy over the modern Italian kitchen brings the ceiling down to create a
higher degree of intimacy in this space that balances sleek elements with warm
wooden details to elevate the welcoming mood that extends into the great room.
