A serene retreat inspired by the Northern California coastline, this full renovation
celebrates tranquility and natural beauty.
Expansive windows and breezy layouts ensure the home feels open and
connected to nature, while subtle nods to maritime design brought the clients'
coastal memories to life.
The beautiful custom millwork applied to the fireplace wall, from floor to ceiling,
evokes an architectural interest with clean, crisp lines. The featured cypress wood
beam mantel, sourced from the clients' own property, adds a personalized touch.
Wide-plank European oak hardwood floors, uniquely etched with the hands of
history and shaped into a timeless expression of beauty, provide wood flooring
for the ages. The interplay of fine wool and rustic jute rugs brings dimensional
texture to the space, creating a rich, tactile foundation.
Organic materials, such as raffia, Capiz shell, and shagreen, were selected for
much of the home décor that was sourced and procured by JM Interiors as a
collaborating designer on the project, while natural fibers, such as the woven jute
rugs and linen textiles, enhance the airy ambiance.
