The open floor plan of the Pineland Residence — and the use of double-high spaces — were a predominant consideration
that set the tone for the interiors. A masterclass in contemporary luxury — bold, refined, and inviting — the thoughtful
mix of materials and textures brings warmth to the sleek lines. At the heart of the home is the soaring double-height
great room, where a dramatic black stone fireplace anchors the space with a striking yet organic presence. Double-
height windows flood the interiors with natural light, while sleek glass railings enhance the sense of openness and
connection between levels.
But the home doesn't reveal itself all at once. Upon entry, all that is glimpsed is the floating glass staircase. It's only when
you turn the corner that the rest of the house unfolds before you. Acting as a central hub, the kitchen naturally draws
people in, with custom cabinetry, minimalist fixtures, and a rich blend of wood, marble, and metal accents. Positioned
like a "knuckle" at the corner, everything radiates outward from this space in an organic, arc-like pattern. The sculptural
glass pendants that illuminate the dining area add a playful contrast.
A luxurious primary bath is the epitome of spa-like serenity, with floor-to-ceiling Calacatta gold marble walls, a sculptural
freestanding bathtub, and gold-accented lighting fixtures.
Texture plays a leading role throughout the home — with the continuation of rich woods and rough-hewn stone
beautifully reiterating and connecting to the materiality of the outdoors. Every detail is meticulously considered,
in collaboration with the client, creating a home that balances openness with intimacy, drama with warmth, and
contemporary bravado with everyday comfort.
