Inspired Modern Living
As the first home that FLUX modern built in Atlanta, this Buckhead residence was an opportunity to create something truly special — transforming an ordinary spec house into a dynamic, custom-designed gem. Set
on a sloping lot, the home adapts to its terrain with a three-story profile on one side and a two-story elevation on the other, striking a bold yet balanced presence.
The architecture is framed by a series of interlocking L shapes, ensuring it never feels like a simple box. A cantilevered second floor extends outward, sheltering the driveway beneath it, while a classic Southern
wraparound porch speaks to the home's sense of place. White stucco serves as a framing element rather than a defining characteristic, accentuating the rich material palette of warm wood, stacked slate stone, and
concrete planes.
Inside, the layout prioritizes function and flow. The custom front door opens to draws the eye straight through the home and out to the sleek pool in the backyard, creating a seamless visual connection from front to
back. A large NanaWall system dissolves the boundary between the living room and the private outdoor oasis, which was designed to feel like a luxury resort.
Above, the second-floor bedrooms extend outward, not only maximizing space but also framing the outdoor areas below. The primary suite, perched at the front of the home, enjoys sweeping views of the tree-lined
neighborhood, while the secondary bedrooms overlook the terraced garden and pool.
This home is a study in harmony — between bold geometric forms and inviting natural materials, between structured design and effortless flow.
