Sun, sand, and sky served as the basis for the home's interiors. The first floor is grounded by darker tones and earthier materials that embody shadow and dune. As
one ascends the home's floating steps, the material palette lightens in relation to views of the sea and sky. The home's key view was further celebrated through the
dematerialization of the north and south façades into wood-clad "fins." These elements provide privacy and protection from the sun while allowing uninterrupted
views of the coast.
The kitchen island stands as a centerpiece, harmoniously blending angular exterior geometry with tactile interior finishes. Ribbed light oak appears as a recurring
material throughout the home, celebrating light and shadow while concealing ample storage. The dramatic floating oak treads are anchored in a double-height
keystone wall that pays homage to Florida's coast. Natural light streams through the composition, creating a seamless dialogue between interior and exterior spaces.
